Oh summer, how I love you! Although it’s technically only Spring here in Australia, we’ve had a quite uncharacteristically warm start in Melbourne and I for one am not complaining! It’s been really fun to start shedding the bulky layers, bare my legs and pull out all my favourite sandals. Of course the biggest fun has been building my summer wardrobe with some new purchases….
I am loving the coordinates trend at the moment. Often you will see this trend with highly patterned and brightly coloured items but you can also ease into it with a block colour like I have. I love that the cropped top on this one is only just cropped enough to the sit right at the top of the skirt (no excessive mid-riff bearing for this mum of two juuuuussst yet), and that the skirt is a longer ‘midi’ length. The top is unlined and the skirt only has a mini skirt length lining, so both items are extremely cool and breezy. And of course, the added bonus with all coordinate sets is that you can mix and match the items with other pieces that you have for variety. Pictured below are some of my favourite sets in stores at the moment, I’m working my way up to one with high waisted shorts and a bold print :).
