If you follow me on Instagram you would have read that this past week has been a bit of a tough one for us. With both kids on a sleep strike and just generally unsettled, my husband and I were basically running on next to no sleep for the whole week. So when my parents offered to take them for a night to give us a break, we jumped at the chance. Although this meant that we were now free for Valentine’s day eve and the morning of, we decided just to take this chance to stay in and chill. With that being said, I didn’t have very many reasons to get dressed and make an effort with my outfits, but thanks to this blog and this recap, I knew I should try a little bit :). So here is my weekly round up of What I Wore!
For the reasons mentioned above, Friday was probably the peak of our exhaustion but being a mum means that the show must go on, right? I picked up this super cute shirt from Cotton On. For those who don’t know, it is referring to mega babe and super model Kendall Jenner. I absolutely love her style and just thought this top was a fun nod to her. I went with a monochrome, sportsluxe theme with the rest of the outfit.
Saturday mornings are family gym time and then I quickly threw on this dress before we dropped the kids off at my parents house. Although I love Off The Shoulder dresses, the elastic top on this one isn’t very practical for hauling kids around. Once we were sans kids, we went straight home to chill and then the rest of the evening consisted of pyjamas, pizza, red wine and netflixs. Perfection.
Valentine’s Day! After a lazy morning of breakfast and coffee at home we went back to pick up our two littlest valentines. I bought this Cotton On Dressing gown for the house but I liked it so much I decided to wear it as a kimono. Just cut off the inside strings, ditch the waist tie and you’re good to go!
