Weekend: What I wore

Otherwise known as: Three different ways to wear jeans and a jumper (a sweater for my non Aussie friends)! Yep, Winter is well and truly coming here in Australia and this weekend I basically created a new uniform without even knowing it. I will definitely be trying to work a dress or skirt in somewhere this week! So let’s have a look at the weekend that was :).

Friday

Friday I had my first Personal Styling client since being back from holidays. I had a great time with this lovely lady, and we managed to find exactly what she was looking for, “a trendy, unexpected and flattering dress for her best friends 30th”. After that I had a bit of mama downtime and got my hair done.

My top is an all in one cropped jumper/shirt from French Connection last season, my jeans were a recent gift from the amazing Blossom and Glow Maternity (Tip- they don’t just do maternity clothes, despite the name), and my shoes and bag are new purchases from NYC.

Saturday

Saturday was a big day in our household. My daughters 2nd birthday party. I was up at the crack of dawn with my mum, making Elmo cupcakes for her and 10 of her little friends. Despite the fact that we were off to a play centre and would be encountering sticky little fingers covered in red icing from said cupcakes, I couldn’t not wear my new blouse from Feather and Noise. I actually wore black lace up flats for the party but in the afternoon hubby and I went out for some burgers and beers and so I changed into these peep toe booties by Steve Madden. Loved this whole outfit.

Sunday

The hardest part of the whole weekend was waking up on Sunday morning and having to front up to another children’s birthday party, this time for a 3 year old. It’s pretty sad when your toddler has a busier social life than you, haha. The weather completely turned by Sunday so I wore this cosy, blush pink, jumper that I picked up at Kmart on a whim and paired it with my burgundy Zara boots and Khaki H&M cargo jeans. My favourite part of the whole outfit though, was this burgundy choker from Sportsgirl which just gave the whole look a lift and tied in the boots!
