We’re back! After a few weeks of total chaos in terms of finding time to photograph outfits / blog as well as a few weeks of total hibernation thanks to my husband being away and the weather getting really cold, really quickly, I’ve finally gotten back into the swing of things with my weekend recap. I had a really exciting weekend with lots of new work projects and some fun family time, so lets get into it!
All week long I couldn’t wait for Saturday to get here. I was booked by a beautiful client to help her find her wedding dress. I will do another blog post on this soon, but for those of you who have read about my journey into Personal Styling, you would know that I really want to focus on ‘big event styling’, so getting asked to do a wedding was an absolute dream come true. Needless to say we had a ball and then from there I headed to drinks with my cousin who was visiting from QLD.
I needed an outfit that was professional and stylish but not too dressy for the low key drinks I had planned afterwards. As a personal stylist I think it’s really important to make sure that you stay true to your own personal style without over dressing and possibly intimidating the client.
Sunday was the perfect mix of hanging with the family and then a fun little work event at lunchtime. I haven’t shopped much at Uniqlo but I popped in earlier this week and to my surprise (and delight) I found a number of things I loved. Better still, everything was great quality and at amazing prices. I picked up this quilted jumper / skirt set for under $40. The pieces are sold separately but the ensemble together is so easy and fun to wear, and absolutely bang on trend!
I hope you all had a great weekend as well, and an even better week ahead xx
