What I Wore Wednesday

Blouse: H&M, Skirt: H&M (similar here), Shoes: Zara

So I’ve been thinking that I might try to post a bit more regularly on the blog and create a little schedule for myself to make it easier to create content. This is only a new idea so don’t hold me to it just yet but I’ll trial it over the next week or so and see how you guys like it and how it works for me.

I’m thinking of doing a mix of fashion / style post and some life, beauty, travel and parenting ones as well. In terms of fashion I will try to do two posts per week, one based around what I’m wearing and the other more focused on trends, fashion events, and style icons / muses. These will be posted on Wednesdays and Fridays with the titles “What I Wore Wednesday” and “Fashion Friday”. Original I know, lol.

So let’s see how we go, also if there are any specific topics you’d like me to post about just let me know!

OK, so today is a fun post for me as it was actually my 28th birthday so I got to get a little bit dressed up for a fancy birthday lunch at an amazing Indian restaurant. I actually purchased this skirt and top from NYC a few months ago but I hadn’t had the chance to wear it until now. I think this skirt is really versatile and can see it being worn every where from a wedding, to date night or even a corporate setting. You can never go wrong with a white blouse and this one has a little extra oomph with the oversized and flared cuffs and the open V neckline. My favourite part about this outfit though is of course these pom pom gladiator sandals. I’ve wanted a pair of these for ages and these guys from Zara are the perfect balance of quality (100% leather soles) and fun!

Excuse me for looking a little dishevelled in the photos, they were taken after lunch and running around in the post monsoon humidity with kids on a sugar high! So that’s that! I had a great birthday and am happy to see what my 28th year brings :).

See you on Friday for a look at Melbourne Spring Fashion Week!
