Feel like you are seeing pink everywhere you look at the moment? Well you probably are! There is no doubt that blush pink or ‘rose quartz’ as it’s often called, is definitely a huge player in the upcoming 2016/17 Spring/Summer colour way. I’ve been crushing on this trend for a while now and have slowly started collecting some pink basics to work effortlessly into my everyday outfits.

These baby pink sneakers from Zara are my latest addition. In the harsh Indian sunlight, they didnt photograph that well but take a look online, they are super cute adidas-like sneakers, with tiny little leather sunglasses on each shoe. Just a note; I know that Zara items have featured heavily on the blog lately, but it is the only store that I currently have frequent and easy access to. And lets be honest, you can always find SOMETHING to buy in Zara!!!! I will however try to show a bit more variety with future posts.

So back to pink. Of course you can buy big statement items in blush, and you’ll always be able to find more formal options but I love the quiet femininity that something simple like a rose coloured t-shirt can add to your outfit. It’s also fun to pair these items with edgier styles to offset the ‘girlie’. Try a blush camisole with a leather jacket, a girlie skirt (like this one) with a pair of sneakers or ankle boots, or a dusty rose jacket with a pair of classic, well cut trousers. It’s all so chic and effortless, but totally on trend at the same time. Pretty much the balance we all want, right?

Here are some more Blush Basics that I’d love to magically appear in my wardrobe ASAP hehe. Let me know your thoughts on the Rose Quartz trend. Love it or leave it? xx
