Mondays and Bodysuits

Cardigan: Zara (similar here), Tank as Bodysuit: ASOS (similar bodysuit here), Jeans: H&M (similar here), Shoes: French Connection (similar here)

Why do Mondays always roll around so quickly? I suspect for most of us mum’s, working /  working from home and stay at home alike, it is business as usual which means lots of running around and ‘doing’. It’s a public holiday here in India so our morning is a little less hectic thanks to the schools being closed, but I still have a to-do list a mile long. I decided to pep up my usual jeans and a tee uniform by wearing a tank as a bodysuit and adding a velvet choker. These two items immediately elevated my look but didn’t add any extra ‘fuss’ or take away any comfort. Two of my main criteria when getting dressed on  normal day but especially on a Monday ;).

Do you have a bodysuit in your wardrobe rotation? In my opinion, it is a piece of contradictions. Its ease in making a look appear pulled together and tucked in is undercut by the difficulty one has to go through in order to wear it.Those tiny little buttons that no one wants to button or struggle with in the bathroom is a major deterrent for most, but I think worn occasionally, it definitely has its place. Below are a few of my fave bodysuits at the moment. My styling tip would be to pair it with something loose to avoid a ‘onesie’ type situation. Think baggy boyfriend jeans, voluminous maxi skirts or under loose overalls for a effortless nod to the 90s.
